Abstract
The author wonders about the procedural consequences entailed in the silence of the defender of the bond in such a delicate moment for the task of an ecclesiastic court as the discussion period of the case. The study of the answer the canonic legislation gave implies the analysis of the relationship between the action of the judge and the defender of the bond and, in particular, implies the revision of the norm which guides the defender of the bond's task in the discussion stage of the case, in the different hypotheses posed in canons 1603
