Las faltas y su tratamiento procesal. consideraciones en torno a una reforma

Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze, from the perspective of its practical application, misdemeanors and courts of justice in Chilean legislation. This article alerts to the modifications under study in dealing with the civil procedures for misdemeanors. The so-called trivial or minor offenses, with which the Penal Code and other special laws deal, are herein addressed in order to provide effective solutions from the view of civil procedures. This research has been conducted from a practical perspective, indicating its legal regulation both in the substantive law as well as in the civil procedures, along with statistics that help illustrate what percentage these so-called "minor" offenses reach in Chilean courts.
