Abstract

This article intends to restrict the meaning of the term document when used in crime laws, particularly in the Penal Code; that is to say, it intends to restrict the term exclusively in those records of thought that are both notarized and more or less permanent, especially when references to a public or authentic document are made. It would not be advisable, therefore, to extend the term by analogy to photos, sketch plans, drawings and the like.
